Back Kick / Turning Back Kick
Note that there are two variants of the turning back-kick:
1. Stepping away - to increase distance from opponent (shown in sequences).
2. Stepping towards the opponent to increase forward momentum.

Outside Edge of Hand Strike
Similar to the open handed chest block. However, the elbow is raised high (in line with the target) before extending the forearm.

Inside Edge of Hand Strike
This time the strike comes from the outside of the body into the centre-line.

Standing Front, Side, Back Sequence
From ready position,
1. step forward into any short stance
2. front kick, place leg to rear, guard
3. side kick with other (front) leg, turn for back kick, guard
4. back kick, place foot down, about turn to face front in ready position.

Repeated practice of this sequence will greatly improve your co-ordination during all basic upper body techniques.
